i am using ANSYS, and i am appliying torsion in a cylinder, i am using solid72 or solid73 element because is the only solid that let me apply torsion, (ROTZ, degree of freedom), the problem i have, is that i can not get a plastic behavior of the material, it always behave as a elastic material, im using inelastic, rate independant, isotropic hardening, mises plasticity, bilinear, tang mod 0.

any suggestion,

Its been a while since I used Ansys, but I don't know what you mean by "i am using solid72 or solid73 element because is the only solid that let me apply torsion". Have you opted model/run the analysis as non-linear?
