Hi everyone.
I have always seen Top Entry ball valves with PUP x Flanged (RF / RJ) ends being tested with a temporary cap welded to the PUP and a blind flange on the flange. After testing, the end of the PUP with the temporary CAP was cut off and the end beveled.
Analyzing specifically the Total PVV154 standard, top entry valves with the ends configuration PUP x Flanged, could be tested directly in the test bench if their size and class are not included in the table “Valves end thrust effect”?
Besides not considering the thrust effect, could there be other problems in testing an 500mm pup piece directly on the test bench?
Thanks everyone for the help!
