We have a 3 piece ball valve 48" Class 300. Noticed that when bolted together the straddle of the centerline is about 1/2degree off. Does anyone know of the tolerance and in what standard it might be in?

mytsurfer,

Refer to Piping Fabrication Institute standard PFI ES-3.

How do you "notice" 1/2 degree on a 48" valve?
The clearance between the bolt o.d. and the hole i.d. would certainly allow for small angular tolerance.
