To test fire fighting pumps at 150 % of capacity

Hi is it normal to test an electric and a diesel pump at 150% of their capacity? This is a request of our insurance company.
 
Yes, but they probably want the test performed in accordance with the applicable NFPA standard.

If you have backup power generators that can power fire pumps there are requirements for testing that also.
