Hello. Can anyone provide any information about TMS-80 steel? We have to provide some parts for a machine from some old drawings, and one of the parts is specified as TMS-80 forged steel wheels. Can anyone point me in the direction of the material properties for this steel? Also, does anyone know of any suppliers US or (preferably) Europe based who might be able to either provide these off the shelf, or who could manufacture them. Thanks.

"TMS-80" is the old nomenclature. These micro-alloy steels are now sold under the "MicroTec" name by Timken. I believe the "80" refers to typical yield strength after controlled cooling from the forging temperature. I don't have my Timken book with me but their website should have general information on the Microtec series.
