The problem with INSERT BACKGROUND VIEW is that it puts everything in the background, including the drawing number and title. This means that the user either needs to edit the background to change them (something some companies don't allow), or to create the standard title-block text manually.
Using a macro lets you put the standard, uneditable text in the background, and the basic editable text in the foreground, where the user only needs to double click on it to change it.
It's a pretty simple macro to create/edit. There are several generic ones available, including one that DS provides with the install.
