Why do engine builders use a titanium intake valve and a inconel exhaust valve in a blown gas motor? In a blown alcohol motor we use titanium intake and exhaust.

Heat resistance.

We use Titanium intake and Inconel exhaust in blown alcohol as we feel the exhaust valve can get to hot for Titanium at the HP levels we are getting.

In the alcohol motor I know we run 900-1000 pipe temperature at the end of the run. Does the gas motor run hotter? I only run about 12 pounds of boost with 9:1 compression whereas the alcohol is 12.8:1 with about 37-40 pounds of boost.
