Consult with some glulam suppliers in your area. If it is a longer span over 30', the truss itself is probably going to have a steel shoe at the end. If the truss bears on a beam it is common to weld the truss shoe directly to the beam flange. If you check the AITC Timber Construction Manual for an example of a truss heel connection you should be able to visualize how it could be done.
The trick is to use angles on the side of the tension plates or widen the bearing plate under the truss heel so that you get the weld away from the wood so you don't scorch the wood.
