tilting wafer type check valve

hi,
i wanted to know wether a tilting wafer type check valve can be placed in vertical position when the flow is from top. actually its a nitrogen purging conn. with a check valve.
please help me out.

in case of dual plate wafer type check valve there is no problem and it is recommended by some vendore also but for
tilting disk I think this is not desirable.
according to me if your check valve is wafer type you can
change the type of the valve to dual plate because there is
no spicific difference between thise two.
