Hi guys
I have very limited experience with bearings and was wondering if there was an off the self bearing suitable to withstand a 21,000lb weight Iam assumming the correct force is known as axial, Iam assuming by the dimensions the cast is about 180mm sq
I have attached the recommendation configuration however when looking for a suitable bearing in the specifications I cannot find the specification to direct weight , I have no information on the bearing in the attached .pdf other than it need to be in a similar cast, can anyone suggest a direction I should be taking
What it is doing is supporting a 4 tonne radio tower , which when guyed will rotate on the supporting bearing noted
Regards Russell

You're probably looking for either a cross-roller bearing or a slewing ring. Both are capable of supporting those sorts of loads at the diameters you're looking at.

I'm sorry I am a little late to this, but you might still be looking for something.

What you seem to have in your photo is a housing that contains a spherical roller bearing. Ask you local bearing guys for information on LinkBelt (probably the best known) or Blue Brute bearings - they will be able to advise.

You don't mention a shaft size, but they range up to about 130mm or so (inch and metric)

We've been working on mast bases out of Maritex composite, what is the duty cycle /speed of rotation? This might be a simpler option.
