I have a heat treat supplier who tries
To use plugs inserted into ring gears
After temper before cold stabilize.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Some parts are round and flat.
Yet some parts go out of round and
Out flatness tolerance.
Carburize 1750 deg f
Austinitize 1500 deg f
Cold stabilize -100 deg f min
Double Temper 300 def f
Spec AMS 2759/7
Material 9310Speculation please
