I only see China as a real problem, but not the worst one... I also see China as having come a long way in the last 50 years. Far more than most western countries. Looking at their major cities and infrastructure, they are on par with most western civilisations. My information is generally correct and there is no bias to it... other than countries that should be leading the way, aren't. You have to present all protagonists and based on the information available make a choice about who is dealing with climate change, with or without caveats.
You accuse China of having a large carbon footprint... the US footprint is nearly twice as high... that's the real 'number'... when that doesn't work you accuse China of using more coal than the US... yes they do, but Australia and South Africa use more than China. You fail to realise that their carbon footprint is still small compared to some other countries. You accuse them of being backward and not addressing climate changes, where with alternative energy methods, they are way out in front... vilifying me is not going to change these outcomes and is not going to improve the western carbon footprint...
I can deal with an adversary without vilifying him, first.
So strange to see the singularity approaching while the entire planet is rapidly turning into a hellscape. -John Coates
