Vikas4auto2019,

What do your vendors think?

I have not approached any vendor so far. Design is still in the initial stage.

I just need a basic idea about the thin wall in the above case.

What does that bottom surface look like - is it a gradual taper from the thicker looking wall in the left view to the thin wall in the right view? Or is there a sharp step somewhere? In general, a gradual taper might still be castable.

Vikas4auto2019,

This is the time to approach a local vendor. If they say they can do a 1.5mm[ ]wall, you can call one up. Probably, they have a design guide for you.

Yess there is a sharp step down...which is must for its functionality.

If it is so thin then it can likely be eliminated and just run the slot all the way through.

Check the net, quick looks tells me you can cast to Min. 0.4mm

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)
