Can someone please, provide some kind of information related to de design and analysis of thickened slab foundations, any information related to this matter is useful to me and beforehand give thanks.....

Francisco

Question is not clear but I think you are trying to design a monolithic footing which carries a wall flush on outside. If this is the case Analyze one foot strip of the monoslab taking into account of balancing interior slab as you would analyze a footing for eccentric load which becomes axial load plus moment. It becomes trial and error design. It would be useful to write little mathcad or lotus/excel program.

Try "Designing Floor Slabs on Grade" by Boyd C Ringo and Robert B Anderson, published by The Aberdeen Group,Addison, IL. They have a website.

To mikethebike, i went to the nhbc site, but couldn't find any design guidelines.

mgharbi: why don't you post a new thread...it would probably get more response.

Chico,

Have you received the information that you needed? If so, I am designing a thickened slab for a pre-engineered building and could use some guidance.
