Hi! I need to make some thermal analyses, and i'd like to perform them by using Catia parts...how can i do so?! (i'm using Catia V5R6 but i can't find out an easy way to put them in account with ELFINI!)
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Excalibur...I've found out a lot of interesting apps doing that, 4ex Cosmos/works plug-in for Solidworks...I just thought Catia was enough good also for that...and i can't understand why it's missing such an important design aspect!
Do you know which are apps that could menage Catia *.CATpart files and perform such analyses?!
Anyway, bye!

Hello pArAnOiD,
i think PATRAN Preprocessor can manage/import Catia *.CATpart but to perform thermal analysis you need to combine PATRAN with a solver like NASTRAN

cheers

I guess most of FEM systems (like Cosmos, PATRAN/NASTRAN) can import IGES or STEP files. You can export IGES with CATIA V5 and import them back to perform your thermal analysis.
Good luck
