This is a follow up to Bacon4Life's question about the error message in Excel 2013 "There is no active Protected View window"

I have the same problem and little idea what to do about it yet, as it doesn't seem to make any sense in the context we have.
The stack trace seems to indicate that this is an internal Excel error, as far as I can tell...
Or did we create a state where this error message can come about?

But what does it mean for there to be "no active Protected Window" when we're not in Protected View anyway (which is always the case for us)
I can't reproduce this error, myself, but a number of users are getting it in Excel 2013 now.

"Type: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException
Message: There is no active Protected View window.
Source: Microsoft Excel
Stack Trace: at Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel._Worksheet.Calculate()
