I have an application that requires a component to be mounted and rotated as if it was being centerless ground. Does anyone know where I can find the theory/calcs for this sort of thing?

Volume 3 (Machining,1967) of Metals Handbook, published by American Society for Metals.

Thanks Kapitan,
I just need to try and find a copy, this side of the pond.

Colin.

If you look at abebooks.com or abebooks.co.uk, there are plenty of secondhand copies of the book. Depending on your location they seem to be priced from about $20 or £10, plus shipping.

Search that site for "Metals Handbook, Volume 3"

Thanks kapitan, I will be adding the website to my favourites.
