The Fillet Command

Hi everyone... I'm new here and I need help.. I can't specify the radius on the Offset command.. I tried r=0 or r enter 0 enter like what my book says.. can anyone help me? thank's)

hi,

type "F" to initiate command, then "r" to specify raduis. "0" yields a square corner. Sometimes polylines won't respond to the command and have to be exploded.

just keep an eye on the command line to work through.

Are you using the Fillet command or the offset commad?
Your subject says Fillet, but in your post you said Offset.
The offset does not have an option for this, if that is what you are using.

Hello Purplerose,
Currently, there are no radius option when using OFFSET command. If you editing an object, use the FILLET command to put rounded corners and then use the OFFSET command. If you want to draw a rectangle then it does have a fillet and chamfer options. Note that the rectangle is a polyline and if you need to move a line in the rectangle then you have to explode the rectangle. TIP: If you use OFFSET and want to connect the lines and arcs together. Use the FILLET command with zero radius. If you have any more problems or questions, post them on this forum. Hope this helps.

If you use fillet with a zero radius on parallel lines, it makes a 1/2 circle joining the ends !!! Easy way to make a slot.
