Hi guys,

I am running model with a campus computer. I left it running the whole night and the next day I saw the display "The application has been idle for 823 min.", does that imply my computer is not running the program during that whole time at all? Is there anyway that I can avoid this? Thank you.

Just to add that the display in the Abaqus is "Application restarted after 192 minutes of idle time; the license will be checked within the next 3 minutes."

What are you expecting it to "run"?

It's a student version of Abaqus, and students are often idle. It should wake up mid-afternoon so don't worry.

TGS4,

Thanks for your reply. I submitted a job and left the computer alone for a while. After I came back, the Abaqus shows idle information. I am wondering if it is a problem.

What you saw was that CAE was idle. You would need to look at your message file to see if the analysis itself kept running. Simple answer - don't worry about it.

It's actually a feature of ABAQUS that after a period of inactivity it releases the license tokens back to the token pool.

TGS4 and corus,

Thanks for your reply. I think I just worried too much.
