What is the moisture fluctuation depth in Texas (Dallas Fortworth Area)? I am trying to determine the required cut to eliminate any potential heave in the future. I have fat clay with LL>70%.

It varies, of course. There is a popular spreadsheet for calculation of potential vertical rise (PVR), and it stops at 19 feet. If I input LL= 77, PI=55 and MC=15, it calculates 0.11 inches of heave for the layer from 17 to 18 feet.

Do you have a link to that spreadsheet?
Thanks
