I do land surveys for construction sites. Is there anyway to model the ground surface in 3d using ProE? I've been building the model a strip at a time using sweeps but the edges of the strips are too discrete and don't lead into adjacent layers well at all.

Have you tried ISDX?

Its hard to tell what you are up to, but you can build surfaces waaay quicker and easier this way.

What kind of data are you using as a reference?

How do you map out sites - by contours ??

If so I'd use boundary surfaces or ISDX as already suggested.

Have you looked into Bryce virtual world software, Its no longer being sold by Corel , but look around on the web and you will find galleries and import export specs.
