Large shed structures used in barns ( e.g. are anchored into top soil using steel stakes/pegs.
The stakes only penetrate the topsoil, and I was wondering how "safe" is that. On what basis are these pegs designed (how will they resist uplift/provide support)? It does not sound very safe to me.
