temporary shoring of a wood deck under construction

A wood deck was under construction when someone reportedly fell from it. I am looking for an industry standard to reference in regard to temporary shoring of a residential wood deck during construction. I was unable to find anything in regard to temporary shoring in the latest version of DCA6 that I have (DCA6-09).

I wouldn't think such a document specific to residential wood framed decks exists. I would design the shoring per my engineering judgement, but ASCE 37 could be used as a starting point if you need something official.

If they fell from the deck, do you mean temporary guardrails? Shoring is usually considered to carry gravity loads.
OSHA may have something about guardrails.
