An existing timber framed bridge in Santa Cruz, CA, that will need temporary shoring on one lane/half of bridge, while the other half is being reinforced. Do seismic loads need to be considered in this shoring? The bridge will be closed to traffic during the construction.

If the bridge is intended to be closed or under the shored condition for an extended period of time, yes.
