recently I`ve upgraded to Mandrake 8.1 from Mandrake7.0 and noticed that iy doesn`t respond to telnet calls. Does any one has an idea why it is so, and how can i turn telnet responce on.

Have you installed the telnet daemon?

This isn't installed under 8.x, preferring, as it does, ssh.
