Is there such thing as a "taper cutting bit". Like a pencil sharpener I guess.
Ive got an assembly fixture with a bunch of 1/8" plastic dowel pins sticking out of it. I would like to taper the end of these pins at the tip to allow the parts that fit over these pins to locate easier.

This would not be an issue if I tapered them on a lathe before hand when they were loose but they are already installed in the fixture and won't come out now..

Basically I need something like a small pencil sharpener that I can mount in a drill press.. Got about 600 pins to taper.

perfect.. thanks..

Get one of the hand-held sharpeners built for a 1/8 dia TIG welder inserts.

They are designed for sharpening metal to a point - not plastic rods - but it would be easier than than twisting a hand-held pencil sharpener around 600 rods.
