Hello chaps,
again another dump bearing question from this bearing newbie.
I'm in the process of determining the fit of taper bearing on it's shaft. The application is a truck wheel bearing, two bearing, back to back.
On SKF.com taper bearing don't seem to be mentioned separately. I gues the 'radial table' applies, and thus a g6 fit would follow(please see the middle of the page).
This would result in a transition fit because SKF taper bearings have -25mu tolerance on the inner bore, pls see link.
Now, this makes me wonder, isn't a taper bearing alway 'loose'?
Furthermore when on the NTN website they DO mentioned a specific table for taper bearings, which does indeed has a loose fit, please check table 7.7(1) on the pdf.
Again, any input is highly appreciated.
