Tank truck sizes

I'm trying to locate some standardized tank truck sizes, length, width, turn radius, etc, to do a preliminary layout for a load rack. I cannot seem to find anything in particular. Is there standardized sizes, rules of thumb, any help at all?

Check into the US Department of Transportation, Insterstate Commerce, etc. I am sure that some standards exist. The big gasoline trucks are a bit over 7000 gallons and propane trucks are closer to 10000 gallons.

I have a really old engineering handbook that has a section on civil engineering. It has some references to geometric design for turning and gives dimensions on 'design vehicles' used for designing turning paths (includes thins like overhang, height, wheelbase, etc.). The book is ancient so I won't bother citing a reference but if you can get your hands on a civil engineering handbook or one specifically for highway and traffic engineering then you might find what you need.

Truck/trailer length/widths are determined by state and federal highway laws. Same in other countries outside the USA. Depending upon where you are, you should check regarding the bridge laws where you intend to operate this equipment.
