Hi,
We have a project where we are using a storage tank sized at 1.3m H x 2m L x 3m W.
We are discharging 47.7 l/s into this tank over a 2 minute period ie 47.7 l/s x 120 seconds = 5724 l/s.
What we're trying to work out is the required size of a hole in the bottom of the tank to discharge only 10 l/s max at watever water depth was in the tank
Looking at it, if the tank is nearly full and the head is 1.3m then wont the discharge rate be faster to if the tank only had 0.5m water head? Then 0.1m head How would we work the difference?
Any pointers would be welcome.
Thanks
Lee
