Does anyone know if there is a limit on mismatched floor plates? ie 5/16" to 3/8". I know there is a restriction on shells but can't quite find anything on floor plates.

thanks in advance

For API 650 tanks with fully supported bottoms, it's quite common to use 3/8" annular plates and 5/16" bottom plates. As long as you are above the API minimum you should be OK, unless there is a specific reason for the thicker material that the thinner material can't handle. My opinion only...remember - you read it on the World Wild Web

True enough and thanks. I guess my question is more of a floor plate mismatch. ie a bottom floor needs a plate replaced and all that is available is the thicker material.
