RyanRun,
2 constraints needed. first constrain the axis of the cone shape to the axis of the o-ring. next constraint will be a surface contact constraint from the cone shape to the o-ring
I was trying that, but the contact constraint does not work. When I select the contact constraint, I can select the c'sink surface, but it does not allow me to select the o'ring (Created with a revolved circle).
you might have to create some 'dummy' geometry to get that second constraint. Something like a plane passing through the centercurve of the o-ring, and a plane passing through the center of the groove.
No they are not. I was just hoping that there was some type of tangency constraint I was overlooking. The same o-ring could be used in many different Products.
I just wanted the oring to stay tangent to the c'sink if there were dimensional changes to a part.
