During the design process of a tailshaft, for a hollow shaft, using shaft equations AS1043 (Australian Standards for shaft design). Is there a way of determining the ratio value between the inner and outer dimater of such a shaft? It needs to be an optimal shaft design that resists torsion. (Using a DEFP failure predictor)
