Dear Pro users,

I am using Pro/E 2000i and Intralink 1.2

I have a Pen table file (table.pnt) which is controlling my plotting requirements. I want to take this file into commonspace of Intralink but it says an "invalid file extention". I then went to Pro Admin and defined an extension "*.pnt" but still the same error is being shown.

Kindly Suggest.

Did you create a system environment variable in NT?

I kept my PNT files on the server.
If you remove the PNT path in the DTL, the PNT that is in worksapce is used ( at least thats what I think ).

What would happen if it was not in a workspace?

As a rule, I am trying to get all Pro/E objects into commonspace as well. Any suggestions/experiences to note?

Friends,

I think it is not possible to move the *.pnt file into commonspace even after creating a system environment variable in NT.

Instead I have made a batch file which copies the config, dtl and pnt file in the text directory of proe and then proe is invoked from that folder. This maintains a uniformity along the organization regarding the plot configurations.

I think this is probably because your intralink database is probably not set up to accept this file type. You will probably need to log into ProAdmin to make changes. In the admin panel you can specify which filetypes (and which file extensions)are allowed to be checked into Commonspace. I have had trouble trying to check in Excel and Word files, but this is supposed to work...
