Table Equation

The following equation is used in a cell in a BOM. ({2}0.012*H41 "Gallons") H41 represents a cell. If items are added to the BOM or items removed the equation no longer references the correct cell. Is there a way to make the cell reference dynanmic in place of static?

From my experience with using them, I would have to say no. Hopefully someone will prove me wrong.

If it's an Excel BOM, prefix whichever cell reference you want to "fix" with $. (e.g. $H41 or H$41 or $H$41)

Are you referencing cells which are not in the same row as the equation?

If you are only referencing cells within the same row, you can set the equation in the header cell (title) using the other column titles instead of cell references.

The column header for my cell H41 is "Total Surface" I've tried entering it as just Total Surface, 'Total Surface' and (Total Surface) within the equation. With any of those entries the equation does not properly calculate. Do I need brackets around the text of some sort or what am I doing wrong?

Added Note: The equation is only in the final row of the BOM. The equation is not used for the entire column. Just the very bottom cell in the column.

When setting the columns header to an equation it seems to work better if the Equation Editor is used to select the title from the drop-down list, and the = prefix is added automatically. If typing the equation directly into the cell, you need to add the = prefix.

I haven't had any success creating a relative/dynamic reference to a cell in just the last cell.
