The company I work for is using Solidworks Office Professional 2005, SP5.0.
My computer is a Dell with:
Intel Xeon 3.72Ghz
2.0 GB Ram
Nvidia Quadro FX 3500
How can I tell if Solidworks is actually using my computer to its FULLEST?
Most IT people have alot of knowledge on computers, but not always in setting up a computer so that software uses the computer's MAX power. Guess because every software requires different resources from the computer.
Seems when some of us actual Solidworks users are doing medium size assy (8 to 15MB), sectioning just almost brings the system to a halt. We think the systems are not set properly. We are NOT running Solidworks on a server.
Does anyone know if in the Solidworks OPTIONS there is are setting that need to be switched?
