Hi all,

I am looking some information on reneable eneggy.

1. How synchronous of inverter based generation is synchronized with grid ? it is same as synchronous generator with the help of synchronoscope or something else ?

2. What is common practise to connect solar power to grid ?
I. PV cell + Battery + Inverter or
II. PV cell + DC motor + synchronous generator

Thanking you all.

What I have seen is PV cell to inverter, if it's real small then add the battery. The inverter design should include the ability to synchronize.

DC motor + synchronous generator has some advantages. Especially where you have lots of ligtning and where HF pollution is a problem. Used in MW plants.
Also, maintenance of electrical machines is easier in developing countries. The infrastructure is already there in most cases.
Synchronization to grid is mostly automatic.

Gris tie inverters have an inherent ability to sense the grid frequency and synchronize to it. It's all done with bit twiddling.

Batteries are normally used with off-grid systems to ride through when the sun isn't shining.
