Sync. Generator's Rotor testing

Hi!.

do you know how to conduct Polarization De Polarization Analysis or test on sync. machine's rotor. The machine is rated for 3600 rpm, 60 Hz.

Bill! PDPCA is a test in which we will charge a winding for 17 minutes at 2.5 kV or 5 kV (depends on machine rating). It is then discharge through a resistance for 17 minutes. the IR and discharge currents are recorded at fixed intervals and data is plotted on a log-log scale.
a hard but better way to check moisture ingress, its location, resin conditions, leakages with machine, lack of contact of coil with core, etc
