Hello, group. I am new S'works user working with "S'Works 2001 Tutorial" by Blanchards and during "lesson" while attempting to draw mirrored sketch arcs I get an application error which closes s'works..... Ive had the software loaded for quite a while and has been running without any problems until yesterday...in fact I have drawn the same "lesson" a few times with no problems. I did go into Tools, options, image quality and set custom settings for higher quality and was wondering if that could be the problem? I have since set the image quality less ggressive but still get the error always at the same point (sketching mirrored arcs)in my part file. I am running a Athlon 1.4 256 ddr ati rage 128 32 mb...... Again i dont think its a hardware problem as I've had machine and s'works running for months..... anyone have problems setting image quality on custom? Thanks for any help.

What Service Pack of SW01 are you running, and what Operating System? "The attempt and not the deed confounds us."

Your card isn't even in the list of passed Video cards.

"Again i dont think its a hardware problem as I've had machine and s'works running for months"

Why not? Things could have changed... you may have had something setup to auto update...like drivers etc...

Anything can happen Hardware or software related without you knowing. I have had a couple of viruses in the last few months and I didn't even know they were there till they corrupted my OS. (I run a virus protection on all the time plus a firewall and it still made it through) So your problem could very well be a Hardware or a software problem.[pc]

But then again if your crashing in SW turn your image quality down to "High Quality" and "Optimal". Try that first!

Couple Questions for you ;-). What OS are you running? Did you have any virus protection software running when you installed SW? Scott Baugh, CSWP [spin] [americanflag]
