Switching from SolidWorks

I used Inventor for a very short time, changed jobs to a company that used SolidWorks, and now I'm working for a place that used Inventor.
I've had 5 years using SolidWorks and am finding a few things difficult to figure out in Inventor.
I am hoping there is another person out there that is familiar with both programs.
With SolidWorks, I could open a part/assembly, then open the drawing. Save the drawing as a new part number and then save the part/assembly as the new number. The link between the drawing and part/assembly was broken from the old part and the two new numbers were linked together.
How do you use previous work for a new part or assembly?
Also, where do I find Inventors "toolbox", where the bolt, nuts, etc. and structural shapes are located?
This is the first couple of questions, and I'm sure I'll come up with more as I get reaquianted with Inventor.

Q1 Design Assistant or Vault (probably Design Assistant in your case since you didn't mention Vault).
Q2. Design tab in assembly.

Q1 or Content Center in part file.
I recommend getting to this through assembly file though to start as in my first response.

I assume you are not using Vault so instead use Design Assistant to copy and rename the drawing and assembly files. Inventor Menu -> Manage -> Design Assistant. You can also pack and go same as in SolidWorks but inventor does not have the references available through the open and save dialogues.

Toolbox is called Content Centre in Inventor. Expand the drop down for place component and select place from content centre. Inventor also has Frame Generator instead of Weldments (Weldments are different in Inventor), access this through the design tab.
