Hi Everyone,
I am currently working with a Dynamic Implicit model and I'd like to stay with the implicit solver.
However, when deformations and plastic zones starts being rather important, the Implicit solver tend to have difficulties and then it stops.
I was then wondering if there is a way in ABAQUS to tell the software to switch from implicit to explicit solver "if needed" (so if the implicit solver abort the simulation). My idea is to use the implicit solver until time step X (which led to the "abortion"), and then continue from time step X+i with the explicit one.
Thanks.
