Can anyone help? I am working with AutoCad Mechanical-desktop 2006 and I am not able to open in the Mechanical desktop format. Not sure how, but I think when loading SolidWorks on the same computer I lost the Mechanical desktop format. When opening AutoCad M, Desktop it opens as eDrawings PDMWorks Workgroup, at the top it shows "AutoCAD Mechanical-[drwaing1.dwg]" and The browser window only shows a Model & Drawing tab. I am not sure how to get this back to desktop version with the browser showing the Model, Scene & Drawing Tabs. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any help.

You would probably get a better answer in one of the CAD specific fora.

But my guess would be that when you installed SolidWorks it took over the system association with .dwg files. Just change it back.

sorry, didn't see the post, I have been looking for the disk for a week now to do just that, nut thought it could be switched some how.

CorBlimeyLimey, I have been trying to locate the disc with no luck but if and when I do, I'll do just that. I will let you know if I find it and have any success, Thanks.

If you have autocad, open autocad, file > open > browse to the file and select.
