If you are asking about automatic sprinkler protection then. Is the combustible sugar dust controlled, if so ord haz grp 2, if not extra haz grp 1, any storage above 12' feet, if so then you would need to design based on the type of storage configuration.

Or are you asking what is the hazardous (classified) location designation for combustible organic dust?

thanks dears . we have automatic sprinkler system . according for the site consultant the hazard are ord haz Grp 1 . but we just want to be sure from that . all area inside factory around 2.8 . also its important to calculate the fire tank size ( for ord haz grp 1 tank must enough for 60 min ) and for ( ord haz grp 2 tank must enough for 90 min ) is this right ?
From NFPA 13, 2013Ed , see # 5 below, yes 90 mins on the duration, plus 250 GPM hose allowance.
5.3.2 Ordinary hazard (Group 2) occupancies include occupancies having uses and conditions similar to the following:
(1) Agricultural facilities
(2) Barns and stables
(3) Cereal mills
(4) Chemical plants — ordinary
(5) Confectionery products
So you have no storage over 12'?
What about the dust hazard, what does the consultant say about that? Since they were wrong on Ord Has Grp 1 classification. See below regarding the definition on ex haz Grp 1 occupancies as per NFPA 13.note the word DUST below. Candy mfg MAY have a combustible dust hazard in some section of the plant if they are mixing and blending to mfg the product.
5.4.1* Extra Hazard (Group 1). Extra hazard (Group 1) occupancies shall be defined as occupancies or portions of other occupancies where the quantity and combustibility of contents are very high and dust, lint, or other materials are present, introducing the probability of rapidly developing fires with high rates of heat release but with little or no com- bustible or flammable liquids.
Ex haz 1 is 120 mins on the duration plus 500 GPM hose allowance. That tank and pump just got bigger....
Contact the insurance carrier engineering department and see what they suggest.
