I am working with an assembly, one of the parts will not let me put the fastners in the right place.

I have tried opening the part and removing the threaded holes and replacing them. I tested the new part with a new assembly and it does not put the fastners in the correct location. They just end up floating in space. After having this problem i put a threaded hole on the side of my part, and the fastner mated up with the new hole on the side with no problem.

Any thoughts? It is driving me nuts.

behindpropellers,
My co-worker noticed that the mates have been acting pretty funny (not!)in SW2005. The main area of the mates is the "feature driven mates" The assembly was created in SW2004 and when converted to SW2005, the mates were broken and parts were everywhere. Anyone else having problems?

behindpropellers,

Which SP of SW2005 are you using?

SP 1.1

Still no luck. For the time being I just removed the threaded holes until I have time to try to fix it later.

Are the threaded holes on a curved surface?

Flat surface. Not mirrored. Do you think this could be a bug?

Are you using TB parts?
Can you apply the mates manually?

[cheers]
