So far, so good at my workplace. I just upgraded a user from 2009 SP1 to 2009 SP4 because he was crashing on a regular basis. The upgrade seems to have fixed that problem.

Eggcellent! That's the kind of info I'm looking for. Anyone else?

Macduff,

We've had no problems with SP4.0 on our various installations (XP, Vista 32 & 64 bit) and we upgraded within a couple of days of its release.

Actually for me not so good. I can't say that it is or isn't SW SP4 but:

I in stalled SW SP4 and Optis SP2 on the same day. Now some of my Optis editors don't perform correctly. Optis support in the US and France got on the line with me and via a GoToMeeting determined that the Optis SP is not the problem. Optis SP2 works fine with SW SP3. Solution is pending.

Since the install I have had a lot more crashes when editing conic surfaces created in Optis after a save-as.

I save after every change now and will until I have a solution. Like I mentioned, maybe SP4, maybe not.

We installed it on our two 64 bit seats a three weeks ago and so far, it's been very stable and a number of issues we had on SP3.0 have been resolved.

We've seen some random major glitches. Overall this package would be something I would qualify as an improvement over past SP's. The most interesting I've seen has been a weldment component that is visible and selectable in a configuration where it is suppressed (and appears suppressed on the feature tree).

Our only x64 user just told me the reaction force reporting in Simulation doesn't work properly after the upgrade to SP4. I'm not sure yet if it's an isolated incident; I will have to investigate.

All good stuff folks.

Question...If I download and install SP4.0 will the other users at SP 3.0 be compatible? I wanna answer my own question, and say yes. It’s only when your on different versions its not compatible, right?

Thanks,
