OK, in some places I've seen a box something like to show where a section is located and to back-reference where the section is cut (similar with detail views):
[tt]
------- 2
/
E /
/
/ 3
/
-------
[/tt]
Is there a way to make this as a symbol in solidworks, would I have to make a sketch block or something? I can't see anything like this buried in any symbol or in the section property manager, which is where it should just be, and it should update automatically, in my opinion. There is a split circle, is that fairly standard for a section, as opposed to a square?

Thanks in advance.

If anyone has any other ideas, that'd be great, but for now I went ahead and made a block.

Making your own block will work. I have not seen one already created within SW.

Thanks, but by symbols, if you mean the blocks, yeah, I already got that set, if you mean the bubbles/triangle type symbols and making own, with an interface to put in text with a form instead of editing the block, that'd be very beneficial. I'll do a search, thanks!
