SW Guy Trying to Work with Inventor Folks

I use SolidWorks 2005 and am looking to work with a particular customer that uses the newest release of Inventor. Which exported file types work best for importing into Inventor. Step, iges, parasolid, acis, stl, etc? Can you open SolidWorks part or assembly files?

You can open older SWX files but the best way to work back and forth is SAT (ACIS) files.
