The story of my life. I had one engineer in my group almost cry when I installed '05 late last year. Needless to say I have '06, '07, '08 sitting on a shelf collecting dust.
I feel for you oompaloompa. I would say that you aren't missing anything with '07, just bugs and frustrations piled one on top of the other, but a tear forms when I think that your not getting to enjoy the benefits of '06 SP5 (in my opinion the high point of SW products prior to the release of 08) and the glory that is SW 08.
I've got to wait for certain client compatibility before running into 2008--but most everyone is up to speed. Thanks for the notice--just got back in town.
I am going to load and install SolidWorks 2008 sp1.0 here at work. Then run through the steps to do our modeling and drawings. Cannot install PDM, but most stuff does not go wrong with PDM Works. This is what I have to do to convince the young F*rts here to upgrade.
Actually this is what I have wanted to do for year, but never had time. Now my boss is giving me time.
I'm waiting, nicely, for everybody in my department to try our test machine and get a feel for the new GUI. Their deadline is next Friday. I hate being a dictator about things like this, but they were given a chance to try things before they were thrown to the sharks....
