Surfaces to Solid

Hi all,
I am importing a file into inventor from mechanical desktop. Unfortunately the file from desktop was done in surfaces. As i am trying to assemble this in inventor with parts drawn as solids does anyone know how i can change this from surfaces into solids??

have not seen this function in inventor yet...maybe in release 20
