I'm trying to find out a surcharge load condition (for slope stability analysis) for a haul road. The haul road will occupy Cat 740 articulating dump trucks. The heaviest axle weight is about 54500 lbs and a tire pressure of 50 psi according to Cat. At this time, I am considering a 500 psf surcharge loading, but would like to know if this is adequate.
