Can anyone direct me to a good article on "Supercooled Water in Clay"?

The small grain size of the soil and lack of permeability of clay can prevent water from changing volume and allows it to remain in a supercooled state. It's my understanding that because of this phenomena that water in a liquid form has been measured at -40degrees.

Thanks... Dik
